ByteMind (“we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Snugly website and the Snugly Couples Test web product. This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights in relation to it.
We take your privacy seriously. We collect only what is necessary to deliver the Service and we never sell your personal data to third parties.
1. What Data We Collect
When you use the Couples Test, we collect:
- Names: The first names (or any names you choose to enter) of both people in the couple. These are used to personalise your Report.
- Dates of birth: Used to calculate star signs and generate your compatibility Report.
- Pronouns (optional): If provided, used to personalise the language in your Report.
- Email address: Used to deliver your Report and for order-related communications only.
- Payment information: Processed entirely by Creem.io, our Merchant of Record. We never see or store your card number or payment credentials.
- Checkout session ID: We receive a checkout session reference from Creem to verify your payment and retrieve your Report.
We do not collect any sensitive personal data beyond the above. We do not require you to create an account.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use your data solely to:
- Generate and deliver your personalised Couples Test Report
- Send your Report to your email address
- Verify that your payment was successful
- Maintain records of completed orders (for support and dispute resolution)
- Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than delivering the Service you paid for.
3. Legal Basis for Processing (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), our legal bases for processing your personal data are:
- Contract performance: Processing is necessary to fulfil your purchase and deliver your Report.
- Legitimate interests: Maintaining order records for support and fraud prevention.
- Legal obligation: Retaining transaction data as required by applicable law.
4. Third Parties We Share Data With
We share your data only with the following third-party processors, strictly to deliver the Service:
AI-powered report text generation via Claude (your names, dates of birth, and star signs are sent to generate the report)
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data with any other third parties.
5. Data Retention
We retain your order data (names, dates of birth, email, transaction reference, Report) for up to 2 years to handle support requests, disputes, and legal obligations. After this period, your personal data is deleted or anonymised.
Generated PDF Reports stored on our servers are retained for the same period and then permanently deleted.
6. Cookies and Tracking
The Snugly website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We do not use Google Analytics or any third-party analytics that fingerprint individual users. We may use minimal session-based storage (such as browser sessionStorage) to pass your form data between steps of the Couples Test. This data is stored only in your browser and is cleared when you close your tab.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification: Ask us to correct inaccurate data.
- Erasure: Request deletion of your data, subject to legal retention requirements.
- Portability: Request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection: Object to processing based on our legitimate interests.

8. Data Security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. All data in transit is encrypted via HTTPS. Database access is restricted by authentication and network controls.
No method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. If you believe your data has been compromised, please contact us immediately.
9. International Transfers
Your data may be processed in countries outside the EEA by our third-party service providers (including the United States). Where this occurs, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) as required by applicable data protection law.

The Service is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has submitted data through the Service, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
